The American Foundry Society has released a pair of reports detailing standard compensation practices in North American metalcasting plants. The reports can be used by foundries to attract and retain employees and negotiate union contracts.
Foundry Leadership Conference attracts global crowd
Foundry leaders from seven countries spanning three continents gathered in Amelia Island, Florida, Sept. 16-18 for the 2018 AFS Foundry Leadership Conference.

Bremen announces agreement to use 3-D printing technology
The companies will accelerate product development for hydraulics customers by using 3-D printing technology. BCI and Eaton will use a 3-D printer from AFS Corporate Member ExOne in the foundry and machine shop at BCI.
