In February, AFS delivered a letter to key members of Congress outlining some of the industry’s top burdensome rules. In particular, the burden of environmental regulation falls disproportionately on manufacturers, and it is heaviest on small manufacturers because their compliance costs often are not affected by economies of scale. The letter highlighted how, in recent years, the scope and complexity of federal rules have made it harder to do business and compete. AFS will be sharing the list of rules with policymakers and government leaders, and looks forward to working together to turn obstacles into opportunities during the new Administration and Congress.
