Organized by the American Foundry Society (AFS) and the Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF), the Student Poster Session is an opportunity to showcase your undergraduate research project at the 121st Metalcasting Congress. All eligible entries will be judged by AFS technical staff and a panel of metalcasting industry experts based on the criteria given below. The winning project will receive a $3,000 FEF scholarship.
Session Details: AFS will display student posters in the exhibit hall on Wednesday, April 26. The poster session will be held that evening during the Exhibitor’s Reception from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Participation Guidelines:
All submissions will be subject to technical review. Judging will take place prior to the 121st Metalcasting Congress and the winning project will be announced onsite. The award will be mailed to the presenter(s) after the show.
Contest Rules:
Travel Assistance: There might be an opportunity to receive a travel grant through your local AFS Chapter. Contact Laura Kasch at lkasch@afsinc.org . A request for a student travel grant must be submitted by each student individually to be considered. Applying for the poster session does not automatically mean a student applies for a student travel grant or vice versa.
