AFS Modernizes its Member Forum, Casting Connection, to Enhance Communications and Learning

This week the American Foundry Society introduced a new and much improved "Casting Connection" to foster collaboration among committee members and facilitate asking and answering technical questions.

AFS thanks Technical Council Chair Adam Kopper (Mercury Marine) and the Technical Council for guiding and advising, along with Mike Lakas, Katie Matticks, Brian Began, Rich Fett, Kim Perna and other AFS staff members for their exemplary work on this improved resource.

The improved member-only community platform went live on October 8. Casting Connection users will notice an enhanced, modernized look and feel, easier navigation, and easier access to popular content and features like publications, surveys, committee updates, and training. The discussion board remains a popular feature as members continue to share insights, questions, or just explore current trending topics.

CEO Doug Kurkul commented, “The new Casting Connection has been a great team effort to build a richer community forum. Enhanced features make it easier and more engaging than ever. It’s a great place to collaborate on ideas, share best practices, take part in meaningful industry discussions and share expertise.”

All members are encouraged to login to the new forum and explore. There is also a video tutorial showcasing some of the new features and navigation that can be linked to here
