The American Foundry Society, North America’s largest metalcasting trade association and professional society, today congratulated Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana on his election as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“We congratulate Rep. Johnson on his election as Speaker. AFS and our 1,000 Corporate Members look forward to working with Speaker Johnson and other lawmakers in addressing our economic challenges and opportunities,” said Brad Muller (Charlotte Pipe and Foundry), President of the Society. “Congress and the Administration have important work to do in the areas of reigning in regulatory overreach, encouraging reshoring, strengthening our energy independence, enforcing our trade laws, infrastructure investment, tax policy, and workforce development. With the right public policies, metalcasters will play an even greater role in driving sustainable economic growth and opportunity for all Americans.”
AFS and its members are represented in Washington, D.C., by Stephanie Salmon and Jeff Hannapel.
