The American Foundry Society’s technical and research publication has been recognized for editorial excellence.
International Journal of Metalcasting and Editor-in-Chief Tom Prucha performed in the top 10% of all qualifying journals based on Springer Nature’s Journal Author Satisfaction survey, the publisher recently announced.
“AFS is proud to publish IJMC, and we’re pleased to see Editor-in-Chief Tom Prucha recognized for his skilled leadership of this journal,” said AFS CEO Doug Kurkul. “IJMC delivers vital metalcasting research to metallurgists, engineers, academics, and other foundry professionals. We thank Springer Nature for this recognition.”
IJMC is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal that leads the way in the transfer of research and technology for the global metalcasting industry. It is the official research journal of the World Foundry Organization.
Last year, IJMC’s Impact Factor, a widely used metric which reflects the number of times a journal is cited by researchers, showed IJMC was the highest-ranked journal dedicated to serving the metalcasting industry.
