“For many decades, AFS has presented awards to honor excellence in metalcasting, research, innovation and service to our industry,” noted AFS CEO Doug Kurkul.
“In a normal year, these awards would be presented in person,” Kurkul added. “This year, due to the pandemic, we have to do it in an alternate way. Eight international awards are being presented by video as part of Metalcasting Congress 2021. All division and committee awards will be presented in the coming weeks during virtual committee meetings. We thank all AFS members who participated in this process and congratulate the distinguished honorees.”
Additionally, a number of international awards will be presented at the Foundry Leadership Summit, September 12-14 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Registration for the Foundry Leadership Summit will open in May.
Lists of past AFS international award winners can be found in the History section of the AFS website at afsinc.org/history.
