The fascinating past and exciting future of metalcasting will be on full display at virtual Metalcasting Congress 2021, when three expert keynote speakers share their insights with attendees.

Greg Miskinis, Harry Moser, and Tom Prucha are this year’s featured speakers – Miskinis and Prucha as Hoyt Memorial Lecturers, and Moser as a special keynote.

Miskinis’ lecture, “Transformation of the Modern Foundry,” goes live on April 12. Miskinis, who retired from Waupaca Foundry as Director of Research & Process Development, will look at how foundries have been transformed over time, primarily by shifts in the workforce; market pressures brought by global flattening; environmental, health and safety changes; and even by disaster. This lecture is sponsored by LAEMPE REICH.

Harry Moser is April 19’s keynote speaker. As President of The Reshoring Initiative, Moser’s keynote, “How to Benefit From Shorter Supply Chains,” will explore how U.S. foundries can take advantage of the trend toward shorter supply chains and what that means for reshoring and foreign direct investment.

Tom Prucha, President of MetalMorphasis LLC and editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Metalcasting, will present his lecture on April 20. Sponsored by IJMC, “Metalmorphasis Change and Transition” reflects how to embrace change and utilize it as a vehicle for new opportunities.

This marks the first time Metalcasting Congress has hosted two Hoyt Memorial Lectures in a single year. These important presentations were established in 1938 and have been delivered by some of the industry’s most well-regarded experts and thought-leaders.

Virtual Metalcasting Congress 2021 goes live online and on-demand April 12-22, with streaming options through May 17. All Access Experience passes are $300 for AFS members and include more than 60 technical and management sessions, keynotes, exhibit hall access, and more.
