The American Foundry Society (AFS) will present Metalcasting Congress 2021 as a virtual event between April 12 and 22, 2021.
The AFS Board of Directors affirmed this decision after thoughtful consideration of the sharp restrictions in place on trade shows, the fact that those restrictions would make it impossible and/or illegal for AFS to hold Metalcasting Congress 2021 as planned, the six-month lead time for planning and coordinating Metalcasting Congress, and concern for the health and safety of AFS members.
What to expect at Metalcasting Congress 2021
Metalcasting Congress 2021 will feature:
• Virtual exhibits offering video, literature and customer-communication capabilities
• Opportunities for virtual business networking
• More than 60 technical and management educational sessions plus two Hoyt Lectures
• Awards honoring excellence in metalcasting achievement and leadership
The virtual Metalcasting Congress 2021 will build upon the popularity and success of two virtual events presented recently by AFS – the Sand Casting and Additive Manufacturing Conference in September and the 32nd EHS Conference this month.
How to participate
Exhibitor information and registration options will be announced when available. A limited number of Platinum Sponsorships are available now by contacting Ben Yates at byates@afsinc.org. Platinum Sponsorships include six months of exposure leading up to the event coupled with logo visibility each time individuals log into the Main Lobby for exhibitor visits, educational sessions, Hoyt Lectures, and awards presentations.
The virtual format will offer new ways for suppliers, foundries and casting buyers to connect with one another to promote commerce, substantial savings on travel and lodging as the economy comes out of the recession, and the ability to view top-grade presentations at times that suit registrants’ own schedules. Companies will be able to encourage more employees to participate in Metalcasting Congress given the absence of travel costs. By making a timely commitment now to a high-quality virtual show experience for April 2021, exhibitors and attendees will have time to adjust their budgets and plans for 2021.
Thank you for your support
AFS salutes our foundries for their unwavering commitment to producing high-quality, highly engineered castings while protecting worker safety, and thanks the entire metalcasting community for its ongoing involvement in AFS during this challenging time.
