Inaugural Green Foundry Case Study Award winners at the 30th AFS EHS Conference

The American Foundry Society’s EHS Division presented its inaugural Green Foundry Case Study Awards on Oct. 10.

The Green Foundry Case Study Awards recognize AFS Corporate Members for achievements in sustainable industry, innovation and environmental engagement. The winners are:

  • Kennedy Valve, a division of McWane, (Elmira, NY), first prize in sustainable industry
  • Waupaca Foundry, Inc. (Waupaca, WI), runner-up in sustainable industry
  • Amsted Rail Company (Griveport, Iowa), runner-up in sustainable industry
  • Clow Valve, a division of McWane, (Oskaloosa, IA), first prize in innovation
  • Waupaca Foundry, Inc. (Waupaca, WI), first prize in environmental engagement

This marks the first year the Green Foundry Case Study Awards have been presented. Winners were honored at the AFS 30th Environmental, Health and Safety Conference in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
