Following a nationwide search, the American Foundry Society is pleased to announce the promotion of Steve Robison to chief technical services officer.
Robison’s distinguished career includes 13 years in foundry management and production roles, and eight years in foundry supply sales and service. He has served many years at AFS as senior technical director, Metalcasting Congress technical program manager, and liaison to the Technical Council. Over the last several months, he has also acted informally as division leader and implemented key process improvements related to AFS research endeavors. He has a degree from Biola University in La Mirada, California.
Robison will further drive technical leadership at AFS, with an eye toward fostering innovation throughout the industry. His responsibilities will include filling out the staff of the Technical Services Division, fulfillment of the AFS strategic plan and mission, supporting team efforts to deliver member value and superior member service, as well as driving continued membership growth.
