The American Foundry Society has launched a mobile app that provides convenient access to the extensive resources of the Peters-Robison AFS Metalcasting Library. Available for iPhone and Android devices, the app facilitates on-the-go exploration of the world's largest metalcasting library.
Called Liberty Link, the new app is a mobile portal to the AFS Library, a resource available to all AFS members. The app allows members to search, reserve, borrow, and return library resources directly on their phones.
How to Set Up the Liberty Link App:
- Download the Liberty Link mobile app from Apple or Android stores.
- Open the Liberty Link app and find the "Setup" button along the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the "Scan Setup Code" button.
- Scan the QR code with your phone (pictured at right).
- Enter your membership credential (if required) and tap "Save."
The AFS Peters-Robison Metalcasting Library boasts a collection of over 17,000 articles dating back to 1896, making it an invaluable resource for industry professionals and researchers. The library's online database features a powerful search function, ensuring quick and efficient retrieval of relevant information. AFS members can create a custom catalog of papers and set up alerts for new articles, tailoring their experience to meet their specific needs.
