American Foundry Society Corporate Members will have full access to up-to-date information on actions from OSHA and other regulatory agencies as part of a new benefit from AFS.
In partnership with Fisher Phillips, a leading U.S. labor law firm, AFS now delivers monthly Employment Law Updates to all Corporate Members. These digital reports cover topics important to executives, managers, and human resources personnel across the metalcasting supply chain: safety regulations, labor laws, recordkeeping requirements, pending employment legislation, and more.
“Employment laws, regulations, and other workplace rules are complex and ever-changing,” said AFS CEO Doug Kurkul. “Our partnership with Fisher Phillips means AFS can provide our Corporate Members with the latest federal policy and regulatory information, a key component of any corporate compliance program.”
The first AFS-Fisher Phillips Employment Law Update will be delivered to Corporate Members via email this week. The May 2022 report includes coverage of OSHA's new National Emphasis Program on heat illnesses and injuries, proposed amendments to occupational injury and illness recordkeeping rules, and harassment-free workplace policies, among other issues. Each article from the experts at Fisher Phillips includes plain-language descriptions of pertinent laws and regulations, explanations as to how they affect employers and employees, and advice on lawful strategies for compliance.
AFS-Fisher Phillips Employment Law Updates are available only to AFS Corporate Members, which include North American metalcasters and worldwide OEMs and industry suppliers.
