Metalcasters who like to learn in a classroom setting now have even more educational options from the AFS Institute.
After several years of offering Live Online metalcasting courses exclusively, in-person classes are returning to the Institute’s classroom in Schaumburg, Illinois, beginning with Introduction to Metalcasting on June 1-2, 2022. Registration for this and other courses is now open.
“The AFS Institute adjusted quickly in 2020 to offer live, virtual learning, and those classes have proven to be exceptionally popular with our students and their employers,” said AFS CEO Doug Kurkul. “Some people prefer in-person instruction, and so we’re pleased to offer classroom courses again, as well. Our expert instructors are committed to providing the best educational experience, whether that means the convenience of web-based learning or the hands-on approach of a classroom setting.”
In addition to Intro to Metalcasting, a new class, A Selling Framework Bootcamp, also will be offered live on June 9-10, as well as Green Sand Molding 201 on June 23-24.
Online courses hosted on Zoom are still available, including Nobake Molding and Coremaking 101: Live Online on May 24-25, Iron Melting 201: Live Online on June 14-16, and Casting Cost Estimating: Live Online on June 20-22.
The AFS Institute classroom is at AFS Headquarters, 1695 North Penny Lane, Schaumburg, IL 60173.
