The American Foundry Society is helping metalcasters stay compliant with the Hazard Communication Standard by publishing new Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for a variety of alloys.
SDSs will be on sale for 10% off through April 30, 2019, and they may be purchased at CastExpo for the same discounted rate.
The SDSs are revised with updated exposure limits and other information. Foundries must replace their old SDSs when they are outdated, and AFS is selling them at a very competitive price.
Iron, steel and aluminum SDSs are available now, with more magnesium and copper alloys and spent sand SDSs to be released soon. To check available alloys and match your foundry’s metal ranges to the SDSs, click here and select “List of Safety Data Sheets for Sale in 2019.” When you find your alloy, you can order the corresponding SDS from the AFS Bookstore.
