James M. Proctor II, senior vice president and general counsel for AFS Corporate Member McWane Inc. (Birmingham, Alabama), testified before the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure on Feb. 26.
The special hearing was on "Examining How Federal Infrastructure Policy Could Help Mitigate and Adapt to Climate Change."
During his testimony, Proctor shared how technology would assist water utilities in saving water, and he urged for the adoption of policies that "foster more effective utility management," which would reduce utility operating expenses, consumer water costs and energy consumption.
