EJ (Elmira, Michigan) broke ground on its new $125 million facility.
The plant is expected to be completed by the fall of 2018 and will take the place of a facility in East Jordan, Michigan. The move will preserve an estimated 340 jobs in its region.
“The official start of construction of the new foundry is an exciting time for our company,” said EJ president Tracy Malpass in a news release. “This project is an important milestone in the life of our family business, our community and our employees. A project like this requires the support of many individuals and groups.”
