The 2017 Metalcasting Congress, the 121st edition of the premier annual industry event, continues to build momentum as booth space has sold out and registrations are steadily climbing. The 2017 event features more than 200 booths and will be held at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, April 25-27.
Metalcasting Congress is the annual meeting of the American Foundry Society and offers value for every part of the metalcasting industry supply chain. It is the place where all industry segments go to discover ways to improve their business through education, networking, and sharing ideas.
“The industry’s renewed optimism is building excitement that we haven’t seen in years,” said AFS CEO Doug Kurkul. “Metalcasting Congress is always the year’s biggest gathering of metalcasters, and we expect 2017 to be a great show.”
Presentations cover a range of vital metalcasting issues, including management, business intelligence, and scientific papers. And AFS Institute short-format courses are available with the Education and Exhibits Pass. These courses cover casting, defects, and reputation management through emotional intelligence.
Designers and buyers will have tailored educational sessions aimed at their specific business needs.
Keynote speaker Harry Moser, founder of the Reshoring Initiative, is an expert with wide-ranging knowledge of manufacturing, trade, and the economy. He will speak on how metalcasters can benefit from the reshoring now underway.
The honor of presenting the Hoyt Memorial Lecture this year belongs to long-time AFS member Doug Trinowski. His presentation, “The Power and Need for Research in Metalcasting,” will look at how research is conducted around the globe.
Along with these must-see presentations, Metalcasting Congress offers the best in meeting face-to-face with peers, customers, partners, innovators, suppliers, metalcasters, and OEMs.
Metalcasting Congress is held annually and every three years in conjunction with CastExpo, the leading metalcasting trade show in North America. CastExpo will be held again in 2019, in Atlanta, Georgia.
