On February 15-17, AFS hosted the annual Metalcasting Supply Chain and Metalcasting Supplier Summits at the Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport.
The Supply Chain Summit, held Feb. 15-16, featured presentations for casting buyers and designers to provide expert advice on how to optimize casting design and cost. The summit also included presentations on economic trends in U.S. manufacturing and metalcasting, and a keynote presentation by Dave Charbauski, formerly of Caterpillar Inc., about factors driving the costs of metal castings.
The Metalcasting Supplier Summit, held Feb. 16-17, featured presentations on the state of the metalcasting economy, current manufacturing trends, and ways metalcasters determine ROI on plant floor investment. Keynote presenter Steve Yastrow also discussed ways to become a better persuader and improve customer engagement.
Both summits included roundtable discussions and question and answer sessions.
