The National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Major Source Iron and Steel Foundries was finalized on April 22, 2004 on the heels of a substantial effort by the AFS MACT Task Force. This rule affects iron and steel foundries that are major sources of HAPs with potential emissions of any single HAP of 10 tpy or greater or any combination of HAPs of 25 tpy or greater.
